I give this book 4/5 glasses of wine!
I was warned about Tristan Cole.
“Stay away from him,” people said.
It’s easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster.
But I couldn’t do that. I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him because it also lived inside of me.
We were both empty.
We were both looking for something else. Something more.
We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays.
Then perhaps we could finally remember how to breathe.
There will be tears when you read this book! I was teary eyed about half the time while reading this book. Tristan and Elizabeth have both suffered a lot and are trying to breathe again. Elizabeth is able to see past Tristan’s rough exterior and realizes he is in pain just like she is. Emma is a great little girl, her friendship with Zeus is adorable! This story had a lot of sadness but it also had some good humor, a lot of which came from Elizabeth’s best friend Faye. There is a villain in this story and I don’t want to give it away but you will be able to see it coming by the end. There are a lot of coincidences, too many to be really believable. Overall this is a great story that I recommend to anyone who isn’t afraid to cry a little during a book!
